Aviation & Missile Solutions, Inc. (AMS) is currently seeking a talented Software Product Owner to join our Huntsville, AL team. The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Track Management team Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office. The PO will be responsible for the prioritization and validation of the development software for the Track Management team. The position will include reviewing/understanding Systems Engineering concepts/designs/algorithms and providing guidance to the development team. The product owner will work with Program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects for the team for each product increment and sprint. The position will include technical briefings and advisement to leadership on status and recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.
Required Experience:

Basic Qualifications:

The candidate must have a basic understanding of Track Management (TM) concepts, geodetic registration and composite tracking, i.e., fusion of kinematic and attribute data from task force sensors, and the Army’s external sources of data (e.g., BFT, IBS, Link16, and CEC). The candidate must have the ability provide oversight to TM SW development team and verify the teams work based on agreed upon acceptance criteria. The candidate must be able to work directly with the Agile software developers.

The candidate must:

• Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset
• Be a US citizen
• Have a Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics,
• Have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above,

Other Qualifications:

An additional plus is knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS and familiar with current TM implementations in one or more of the DoD services. Prior Product Owner experience on a SRUM team is a plus.
