Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for specific account relationship and sales objectives
- Ability to understand customer’s business and what is important to that customer
- Take soil and tissue samples, make recommendations to agronomic problems based on results
- Monitor crops for pest, fungus and weed problems, making recommendations for control
- Know and use all resources necessary to make proper recommendations and applications of products sold
- Ability to close on the sale
- Develop new accounts. Utilize time effectively
- Evaluate new products by putting out test plots as appropriate
- Schedule application of agronomy products when needed
- Work with other company agronomists to serve our customers more efficiently
- Work closely with operations to ensure customer needs are met in a timely fashion
- Work closely with operations managers regarding proper inventory management
- Help in the process of evaluating new products to introduce
- Staying current on new industry practices and processes
- Use computer to formulate mixes, record grower contacts, work orders, recommendations, and email
- Attend training sessions to keep up to date on latest technology
- Maintain Company vehicle in a professional manner
- Follow Company and safety rules
- Maintain Certified Crop Advisor certification through continued education
- Other duties, responsibilities and/or tasks as assigned
- Knowledge of computer systems operation and associated software.
- Skill to operate a forklift safely and efficiently
- Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Proficiency in crop, weeds, and seed identification
- Minimum of five years’ experience as an agronomist or two years’ experience with CCA certification
- College Degree in Agriculture (or related field) or minimum of four years as a CCA certified agronomist
- Consultant license, CCA certification
