Afterschool Care and Vacation Camp Provider, Part-Time

About the role

Afterschool Care Providers are needed for children ages 2 – 11 years old. Hours are Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Afterschool Care Providers will prepare and supervise indoor and outdoor activities, supervise snack time, create a positive environment for enrichment, promote the welfare of all children, and actively engage children with activities. They will promote good habits to encourage student development and ensure the safety of all children. Additionally, they will maintain positive relationships and also communicate with parents daily.

Camp Staff Members are needed for children in Nursery-Year 6 classes during school Half-Term Break Camps. Break Camps run four times throughout the school year:

● Monday Feb 20 to Friday Feb 24 2023

● Monday Apr 10 to Friday Apr 21 2023

● Friday May 26 to Tuesday May 30 2023

Camp Staff will supervise and lead activities for students, ensure safe indoor and outdoor play, create an enjoyable and engaging environment, and communicate effectively with parents and other staff members throughout the day. Camp runs from Monday - Friday, 8:30AM-5PM.

About you

● Must have high school diploma or equivalent.

● Must have experience supervising children

● Must be energetic, motivated, flexible, and take initiative

● Must have/be able to obtain CPR/First Aid Certificate

● Must be able to interact with students, parents, and staff in a positive, courteous, respectful, and professional manner.
