Job description

We are looking for a flexible, energetic, outgoing, and experienced teacher to be an afternoon floater for our child development center and extended care program. The ideal candidate would thrive under a fast-paced and dynamic schedule and would be able to work with a variety of age groups within a single day.

Some of the job duties include:

-Greeting parents with kindness, a smile, and a positive/upbeat attitude at pick up and be able to tell them about their child's day (based on what the primary teacher shared with you)

-Change diapers as needed and as scheduled

-Clean classrooms, including counters, sinks, tables, chairs, and other areas as needed

-Make sure ratios are maintained at all times

-Make sure families log their children out of Procare at pick up time

-Communicate with the teaching team and administration each day at the start and end of the shift

-Relive teachers who worked the morning shift

-Close classrooms each night making sure everything is clean and organized

-Give bathroom breaks, check numbers, and lock up the facility at close

The schedule for this position would be 2:00-6:00 PM, Monday-Friday. There may be opportunities for more hours when a substitute teacher is needed. Candidates must have an Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and First Aid certification that is current. They also must have a cleared background check with the state of Idaho.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.50 - $15.00 per hour
