Job Title: After School Program Team Lead
Department: ASSIST Academy
Reports to: Regional District Leaders
Date of program: The program runs throughout the 22/23 school year.
Summary: Team leads are student facing leaders that facilitate the program's curriculum for educational purposes in the after school setting. Team leads will work with their Site Coordinator daily to ensure proper rotations, use of curriculum and equipment, and the students enrichment time frames are being met. Team Leads work a 3 - 4 hour shift between 2:00pm and 6:00pm. If employees are interested, there are opportunities for additional hours daily through our programs that run during school hours (this will be discussed at interview).
After school programs take place at various school sites throughout Fresno USD.
Work Hours: 2:00pm - 6:00pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Travels to client, school or meeting sites as required for program or administrative needs. Staff must have reliable transportation to and from assigned job locations
2. Arrives promptly at their site to meet with ASSIST staff to prep for assignments and lessons. Regular, reliable attendance is required.
- Arrives to all site/company shifts and meetings in company compliant dress code.
- Utilizes the approved process to record time worked for payroll purposes. All time worked must be accurately reported on your time record. You must record your own time at the start and at the end of each work period, as well as recording the start and end of a meal period.
- No personal phone usage while on site.
3. Cell phone may be used to check curriculum or for work related messages. *Keep ringer on, in case work related information is needed
- Curriculum will be sent daily and coaches are expected to follow it closely to ensure programming at all sites is consistent.
- Coaches will ensure all students are being safe and behaved while under their supervision. Groups of students may be large, coaches must be able to maintain and structure such sized groups.
- Develops a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
- Encourages students to make positive behavioral choices and follow school structure at all times.
4. Works and gets along with staff, teachers, school administration, parents and volunteers as appropriate.
5. Demonstrates leadership, respect, and professionalism at all times.
6. Maintains confidentiality regarding information about staff, student and volunteer information and matters.
7. Attends and engages in staff development campaigns, projects and activities.
8. Consistently demonstrates the gold standard of ASSIST.
9. Communicates daily in the Discord messaging app
10. Pre and Post Session messages
11. Communicates with the Site Coordinator Daily
12. Demonstrates full site control. This includes the ability to communicate with school administrators in order to receive their input on the program, and awareness of all activities on site while ensuring curriculum is being followed at all times.
13. Attends all scheduled Training and Development meetings.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.
15. Facilitates and handles cohorts of students assigned to their program function (Recess, intramural sports, or Fitness And Nutrition FAN programming, other enrichment opportunities)
16. Planning, preparing, and implementing the approved curriculum that includes Recess, intramural sports, and Fitness And Nutrition FAN programming
17. Overseeing daily lesson plans and activities that focus on developing children's social and motor skills through recess, intramural, and FAN
18. Preparing materials and equipment, such as balls, cones, flag, goals, and other supplies as needed.
19. Interacting with children to provide guidance, emotional support, and motivation to complete tasks.
20. Creating weekly progress reports to monitor children's development and personal growth through activities
21. Meeting with parents to discuss their children's performance and any areas in need of improvement.
22. Maintaining an organized and clean classroom and outside play area environment and ensuring students conduct themselves appropriately.
23. Ensuring that all school rules, policies, and guidelines are adhered to in the classroom.
Essential Physical Functions:
Coaches must be able to talk and hear over the phone, walkie talkie and in person. Extended standing and use of hands and fingers for work activities is required. They will occasionally stand, walk, run, reach, balance, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities require safely being able to drive, as well as close reading. Lifting and carrying is occasionally up to 50 pounds. Support coaches are occasionally exposed to wet conditions, cleaning chemicals, fumes, gases, and odors. Information regarding hazardous chemicals in the workplace is available.
Essential Mental Functions:
Coaches work in a busy environment with frequent interruptions and limited quiet time. They must sustain concentration, follow a set of procedures and organize their own work. Some of the work requires multi tasking, quick de-escalation and conflict resolution.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- After school
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
