After School Teacher (Part or full time)

Do you love working with children? Small Faces Child Development Center is currently looking for a caring individual to work with our after-school program! The remaining open position is part time. Both options are union position with medical, dental, and vision benefits. We are offering a $750 hiring bonus!
Part time role: Monday through Friday 12:30 - 5:30 PM. On days when Seattle Public Schools is on break (except on days that Small Faces is closed, such as holidays), the teacher works full day in the kindergarten after school classroom with the elementary-aged children. Teachers will implement a play-based, emergent curriculum and use techniques such as positive guidance and emotion coaching.
Full time role: Monday through Friday 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM. Teacher works mornings in the preschool program and afternoons in the after school program. On days when Seattle Public Schools is on break (except on days that Small Faces is closed, such as holidays), the teacher works full day in the kindergarten after school classroom with the elementary-aged children. Teachers will implement a play-based, emergent curriculum and use techniques such as positive guidance and emotion coaching.

Small Faces is a non-profit child care in the Crown Hill Neighborhood. We provide children a welcoming space where their social, emotional, physical and intellectual skills are creatively nurtured through a play-based curriculum. We have been providing care to our local community for over 45 years!

Qualifications:
Candidates must be
- 18 years old,
- have a high school diploma, and
- have experience working with children in a group setting
