After-School Program Instructors (6-8) - Honolulu, HI

We want instructors who can build relationships with students and the schools they support by helping students feel comfortable and cared for during sessions and keeping open communication for schools and organizations.

Position and Duties

If you like what you’re reading so far, we are currently hiring After-School Program Instructors (6-8) who can capably handle all the core subjects – Math, Reading Comprehension, Creative Writing, Art, and STEM projects and manage groups of up to 18 students.

As an After-School Program Instructor, you can be relied upon to:

• Arrive timely with reliable attendance
• Attend scheduled training sessions
• Effectively manage small groups of students in a classroom environment
• Come to each session prepared to cover scheduled material

Qualifications

We are not looking for rocket scientists, but just an attitude that shoots for the stars! As a After-School Program Instructor, you are someone who has:

• Proficiency in teaching and reviewing all content related to elementary core subjects (6-8)
• Graduated from or is currently enrolled in post-secondary education (graduates and undergraduates)
• Previous teaching/tutoring/mentoring/coaching experience would be great, especially exposure to different learning styles (formal or informal)
• Be comfortable instructing in a classroom environment managing a group of students
