CORA Services' OST Program, YouthCOR, seeks responsible and reliable Door Monitors to maintain a visible and safe pick up area at the entrance and exit of our programs.

Being a Door Monitor is an outstanding opportunity for a college student interested in education, social work, human services or in the general child care field, and looking to get work experience with children.

Salary: $14.00/hour

As a Door Monitor, you will:

• Maintain a presence at the main entry/exit location of the OST program during the hours of 3-6pm, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), from September to June.
• Operate entrance system to allow access to approved OST guardians and/or staff.
• Monitor sign-in/sign out procedures, verifying guardian identification as it pertains to OST pick up policies and procedures; call classroom leader to release appropriate student.
• Quickly respond to situations at a moment's notice and notify the appropriate parties.
• Answer the site phone and take messages as appropriate.
• Over time, become familiar with the overall pick up flow, patterns, and individuals in order to detect unusual situations.
• Remain vigilant to ensure a safe environment for the program.

Door Monitor hours: Monday- Friday: 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Additional hours may be available on half days, field trips, meetings, other activities.

Minimum requirements of a Door Monitor:

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must have High School diploma or GED
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
