The Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont and The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking an adult reconstructive surgeon for a full-time position as assistant, associate, or full professor on the clinical scholar pathway. The position will be involved in resident and medical student education. Responsibilities include patient care and resident and medical student teaching. An interest in participating in clinical or basic science research is valued.
The orthopaedic total joint network strategy, developed through the musculoskeletal service line and Care Delivery Optimization (CDO) processes, includes consistent, high quality care for patients at the appropriate network sites. This position will provide clinical services at both the Health Network’s UVM Medical Center in Burlington and Porter Medical Center in Middlebury, creating an even stronger bridge in support of this consistent, high quality care.
Qualifications: Must be a board eligible or certified orthopaedic surgeon, fellowship trained in adult reconstructive orthopaedic surgery. Candidates must demonstrate an interest in teaching.
The UVM Medical Center, the primary teaching hospital for The Larner College of Medicine, is a level I trauma and tertiary referral center serving northern Vermont and upstate New York. Porter Medical Center is comprised of a 25-bed acute care facility, a 105 bed skilled nursing facility which includes a memory care unit, short-term rehabilitation unit, and a long-term care unit.
