Position Overview
The Illinois Center for Rehabilitation and Education-Roosevelt seeks to hire an Admissions and Records Coordinator. The coordinator administers and coordinates admissions duties and tasks for individuals with disabilities interested in applying to the ICRE-R Transition Program; acts as the Records Coordinator for the ICRE-Roosevelt Facility; collects and maintains mandated and pertinent admissions data and paperwork for individuals applying to the Transition Program; chairs and convenes the administrative admissions review committee to evaluate the admissions candidates for the Transition Program; and assists in the coordination of the planning for the new applicants’ parent meetings and open houses, early summer orientation program and fall registration period.
Job Responsibilities
Serves as the Admissions and Records Coordinator for the Illinois Center for Rehabilitation and Education (ICRE-R).
Administers and coordinates admissions duties and tasks for individuals with disabilities interested in applying to the ICRE-R Transition Program.
Acts as the Records Coordinator for the ICRE-Roosevelt Facility.
Collects and maintains mandated and pertinent admissions data and paperwork for individuals applying to the Transition Program.
Chairs and convenes the administrative admissions review committee to evaluate the admissions candidates for the Transition Program.
Assists in the coordination of the planning for the new applicants’ parent meetings and open houses, early summer orientation program and fall registration period.
Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration.
2. Requires two (2) years of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Three (3) years of professional experience communicating effectively both orally and in writing.
2. Three (3) years of professional experience working with individuals with disabilities.
3. Three (3) years of professional experience working with the principles and practices of public and business administration.
4. Two (2) years of professional experience developing and managing a supportive agency program.
5. Three (3) years of professional experience analyzing administrative problems and adopting an effective course of action.
6. Three (3) years of professional experience exercising judgment and discretion in developing, implementing and interpreting departmental policies and procedures.
Conditions of Employment
1. Requires ability to travel.
