Job Summary


This position is responsible for maintaining the university’s schedule of classes and facilitation of processes directly connected to campus wide course section building. The position also oversees multiple complex processes including the submission of institutional enrollment data to the National Student Clearinghouse and conducting training for campus partners on Registrar related BANNER forms and tables. This position requires a credit check due to purchasing responsibilities.

Responsibilities


Registration Support & Records Maintenance

  • In collaboration with other Administrative Support Senior positions for Records & Registration, this position will serve as the primary contact and processes on 2 of the following processes & backup on others: National Student Clearinghouse submission, Wait-Listing, Roster Verification, late adds & drops, reinstatement of schedules after the drop for non-payment, Schedule of Classes & campus wide section building
  • Responsible for processing various forms and student requests such as course registration (adds/drops/withdrawals), Cross Registration/ARCHE, grade changes, independent studies, course overloads, credit by exams, and student personal information (name, SSN, legal sex)
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining internal documentation and reporting for records and registration area processes
  • Collaborates with the Associate Registrar – Records & Registration to complete end of term processing duties such as honors conversions and administrative drops
  • Utilizes Banner and Argos reporting for routine processes related to advanced registration, student enrollment status updates, and rate codes for tuition

Administrative Support

  • Provides additional administrative support to the Registrar’s office including: routine audits and maintenance of the Office of the Registrar Website, specifically related to registration, academic calendars, and faculty/staff resources; receiving, opening, and distributing departmental mail; ordering supplies and maintaining inventory; submitting monthly copier reading
  • Responsible for purchasing through either purchase orders or the office purchasing card. This position will backup responsibilities for purchasing responsibilities

Training

  • In collaboration with other members of the Records & Registration Area, coordinates and leads training for faculty, staff, and students regarding functions of registration, roster verification, faculty grade entry, Banner functionality upgrades, and course section development

Registrar Events

  • Represents the Office of the Registrar at all UWG Commencement Ceremonies
  • In collaboration with other Administrative Support Senior positions for Records & Registration, this position will plan and coordinate registration events and student communications to include preparing and posting marketing materials, coordinating with campus partners such as advisors and Center for Academic Success to provide student support for registration

Required Qualifications


Educational Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Required Experience

  • Four years administrative experience in an office environment
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of higher education experience, preferably in the Registrar’s Office or a student services department
  • Experience directly related to student registration and record maintenance or course/section building management and knowledge of Banner & Curriculum
  • A high aptitude to comprehend and grasp information quickly
  • High standards of ethics, honesty, integrity, and confidentiality
  • Ability to lead a group, team or project, type 40-50 wpm, consistently produce work with 100% accuracy, and possess exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of constituencies

Proposed Salary


$19.61 per hourly

  • Ability to facilitate and foster effective working relationships with students, parents, administrators, faculty and staff, and work autonomously on assigned tasks and projects
