Job description
The Uniform Division is the largest division in the department. Uniformed personnel are assigned to six geographically proportioned precincts and make up the largest percentage of this division. These officers are primarily responsible for patrol and responding to all 911 calls for service within unincorporated Gwinnett County. The Uniform Division also includes Special Operations, SWAT, and HDU (Hazardous Devices Unit).
This position is responsible for providing administrative support to a Precinct or Division Commander, compiling monthly reports, ordering supplies, equipment audits, and issuing subpoenas.
The Grade for this position is B211.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, or G.E.D.;
- Two (2) years of administrative support or related office experience;
- Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above;
- Must be able to work various shifts and overtime, if necessary;
- Must earn GCIC/NCIC Certification within 6 months of employment
