Administrative Assistant to the Regional Manager

The Max Tax Holdings group of companies DBA Jackson Hewitt is looking for a local Operations Assistant. This person would support the current Regional Manager in the operation of nearly 40 Jackson Hewitt storefront locations across three states.

Max Tax Holding is looking for a well-rounded individual committed to assisting the Regional Manager and the staff at our largest location in a variety of tasks. An individual who is eager to learn the ins and outs of operating a successful small business.

The person would report directly to the Regional Manager and will support in any way necessary. No task is too big or too small.

Although we require someone with enough experience to take the company to new heights, rolling up your sleeves is a must, and we need someone who won’t shy away from getting hands-on and wearing multiple hats. Must be able to work side by side with the Regional Manager, Area Manager, top salesman, and independently.

This role requires a process- and deadline-oriented person who can take direction with meticulous attention to detail. The critical requirements are grit to see endeavors through to completion, common sense, and a commitment to the success of the company and the development of future projects and revenue streams.

Responsibilities Included but are not limited to:

  • Answers Phones and Greeting all potential clients and employees with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Engages in conversation with potential clients and recruits to share information about Jackson Hewitt’s services, products, and promotions.
  • Monitors client flow at the location and keeps clients engaged during periods of wait time.
  • Monitors client activity and takes initiative to answer phones or assist with check distribution by following established procedures when Tax Preparers are with other clients.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars
  • Schedule and coordinate staff and other meetings
  • Collate and distribute mail
  • Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, invoices, reports, and other correspondence
  • Write and edit documents from letters to reports and instructional documents
  • Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical
  • Assist Regional Manager and team in a variety of Administrative Tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
