This position is a 10-15 hour/week position, with the weekly schedule to be coordinated with the Director and other office personnel. Expected to work during normal business hours Monday-Friday, from the Lay Division offices at SJV (work from home at Directors discretion). Some weekends and evenings included. Seeking candidate who is a person of faith committed to Gospel truths, who values the mission of the Seminary, is a responsible manager of resources, and helps the Seminary to pursue excellence in carrying out its mission.
Key Job Responsibilities (and KPIs for each: what success looks like in this role):
- Utilize admissions software to track registrations, class loads, tuition payments, and contact information for current students and alumni for the Lay Division.
- Collect and record payments for tuition, books, scholarship and general fund donations, annual conferences and workshops, and other related events.
- Support the planning, organization, and execution of events, such as annual conferences and workshops, graduation, and summer promotional talks.
- Assist with the annual recruitment and advertising campaign, to include creating and distributing materials, and promoting registration for classes and related events.
- Help maintain the Lay Division website and social media outlets.
- Answer phones, e-mails, and other correspondences regarding the courses and activities of the Lay Division.
- Additional tasks as needed, such as supporting the Director and faculty of the Lay Division with administrative needs.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
COMPETENCIES and QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience providing high degree of customer service;
- Desire for ongoing education in and eagerness to learn new processes and systems;
- Knowledge of standard office procedures, such as record keeping, filing, and correspondence;
- Ability to work closely and effectively with the other staff, students, and graduates of the Lay Division programs;
- Must be a fully initiated Catholic in the communion of the Catholic Church and intentionally living out the precepts of the Church (CCC 2041-2043);
- Refrain from the promotion or approval of, or the living out of, any conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit or disgrace on, or cause scandal in relationship to, the Archdiocese of Denver, or considered to be in contradiction with Catholic doctrine or morals;
- Must recognize sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality;
- Reflects St. John Vianney Theological Seminary’s commitment to treating all persons with dignity and respect;
- Demonstrates effective stewardship of human, financial, and capital resources;

- Is able to use MS Office Suite to create effective presentations, forms, and documents. Advanced skills in MS Excel desired. Willingness to learn new software skills highly desired;
- Possesses a high energy level, flexible personality, and ability to work well with a wide range of styles and personalities, both internally and externally;
- Demonstrates impeccable integrity, is resourceful, cost conscious, responsive, and committed to excellence;
- Bilingual preferred.
