Administrative Assistant II
Job description
The Administrative Assistant performs general administrative support for CCE of Albany County. Responsibilities include answering incoming calls, retrieving and returning messages, answering basic program related questions, compiling and tracking of program materials, making copies, faxes, and other administrative support tasks as needed or assigned.
This position also assists with coordinating Ravena office cleaning by serving as a liaison for maintenance staff; quickly identifying and alerting the supervisor of facility needs; and also cleaning up the office (disinfecting, spills, messes, restroom, etc.) as needed or required.
Required Qualifications
· High School diploma or equivalent, with experience relevant to the responsibilities of the position.
· Ability to help ensure diverse, equitable, and inclusive environments.
· Commitment to supporting/ working in limited income settings with diverse program participants and surrounding communities.
· Ability to meet occasional travel demands of the position. A valid NYS driver's license and ability to drive and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage are required.
· Ability to work flexible hours, which may include early mornings and evenings.
· Ability to demonstrate positive customer service skills, good communication skills and work well in a busy, urban program setting.
· Computer Skills: Experience with or ability to perform basic word processing (using Microsoft Word), database and internet software.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence.
· Able to use good judgment in analyzing facts and circumstances surrounding work situation problems or transactions and in determining action to be taken within limits of standard or accepted practice.
· Ability to handle administrative details, to work under pressure, and organize work into priorities with emphasis on effective time management.

This position works in a typical office environment; ability to remain in a stationary position (for example, standing, sitting) while constantly operating a computer and other office equipment such as a copy machine, computer printer, etc. Ability to constantly work in an open office without walls setting, with occasional to frequent distractions and opportunities to demonstrate positive collaboration amongst staff, visitors and the public. This position regularly lifts, moves, or transports Association related materials and equipment. This position also performs cleaning and disinfecting tasks as needed or required.

Position Details
This is a full-time, nonexempt position. Compensation paid at the rate of $19.00 per hour. Excellent benefits, based on eligibility, including:
