Job Description:

Clerical, data entry, record processing and some bookkeeping work of moderate difficulty and responsibility; all other related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma with courses in office procedures and business more than 3 years of progressive responsible experience in clerical work, data entry, and working with the public; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Qualifications:

Working knowledge of computers, office procedures and machines. Familiarity with bookkeeping and finances. Familiarity with town government. Must gain a general knowledge of Massachusetts General Laws as they apply to the Assessing operation.

Ability to deal effectively with the general public and town departments. Ability to perform detailed work with accuracy. Ability to use tact and discretion while dealing with irate customers. Ability to work with accuracy with continual interruptions.

Proficiency in the use of computers, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, and assessing programs. Strong mathematical skills.

$940.64 weekly + benefits
