POSITION SUMMARY:
Develop and file rate indications, pricing factors and product changes that are profitable, competitive, compliant and consistent with the corporate goals and objectives of a multi-state insurance operation. Support data analysis and application needs of the Department.

West Creek Office (Goochland County, VA – Richmond, VA)
This position is based out of our beautiful West Creek Office location.
POSITION
Full time (37.50 hours per week) – Salaried exempt position with benefits
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm, Hybrid work schedule is available after a period of in office training.
Primary Duties
- Maintains rating and product manuals for Countryway lines of business.
- Monitors and reviews rating organizations (ISO, AAIS) filings.
- Compiles data and prepares supporting documentation required for product filings (rate, rule, and form) with the state Departments of Insurance. This includes maintaining documentation required by law.
- Assists in reviewing and determining changes for regulations that impact certain states and/or lines of business.
- Prepares communications of rate, rule, and form changes for all areas of the company as required.
- Collaborates with other business units in supporting implementation of product maintenance and changes.
- Supports rating model development and maintenance.
- Assists in developing financial, market, and competitor analyses for marketing and product strategy.
- Prepares monthly statistical reports as directed by management. In addition, provides ad hoc reports for other business units.
- Identifies opportunities to enhance our data monitoring capabilities. This could include, but not limited to, creating more efficient methods of developing and delivering information to management and enhancing our management information capabilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Education / Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
- 2 years of property/casualty insurance experience is preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel, and Access.
- Working knowledge of SQL Server.

- Experience across multi-line and multi-state property/casualty insurance markets.
