Acquisition Analyst, Senior
Job description
Key Role:
Support a senior Defense client as an Action Officer by applying comprehensive knowledge of the Defense Acquisition System and Acquisition of Services pathway to execute executive-level Senior Review Panel (SRP) and Services Requirements Review Boards (SRRB) by reviewing organizations' service requirements review processes, previous years SRRB results, and organizations' issues and roadblocks for executing requirements. Provide analysis and support improvement of acquisition policy, process, and procedures. Develop recommendations and execute plans applying acquisition expertise in response to statutory, regulatory, and policy updates. Devise innovative strategies for deploying and implementing new acquisition policy initiatives and measuring the effectiveness of implementation. Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Work on unusually complex problems and provide solutions that are highly creative. Serve as an organization spokesperson on specialized projects or programs.
Basic Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience supporting defense acquisition policy analysis at a Service Headquarters, Component Headquarters, Defense or Field Operating Agency, Major Subordinate Command, Numbered Air Force, Numbered Fleet, Army Corps, Program Executive Office, Joint Staff, or OSD level
- 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat products
- Experience as an OSD, Service HQ, or Joint Staff Action Officer, including developing, coordinating, publishing, and implementing issuances and department-level policies, engaging on Congressional and Government Accountability Office taskers, and facilitating OSD correspondence and task management
- Experience with DoD 5000 series policies, DoDI 5000.74 Defense Acquisition of Services, National Defense Authorization Act defense acquisition guidance, and OSD acquisition policies, instructions, memoranda, and guidance
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience as a project manager, action officer, or policy or program analyst in the DoD
- Experience with acquisition management for a Major Defense Acquisition Program
- Experience developing and executing program plans and schedules, monitoring program performance, and developing and recommending program and process changes
- Experience tracking program or project action items, maintaining a project schedule via a tracking tool, scheduling reviews, coordinating schedules, creating and updating rosters, developing briefings, capturing minutes and due outs, and maintaining electronic records and files
- Ability to analyze data, perform trend analysis, and identify anomalies
- Ability to identify positive or negative impacts of policy changes and innovative approaches, and capture best practices and lessons learned
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including communicating and briefing with senior executives
- PMP Certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. Work Model
