About the job

NewCold is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Regional HQ in Chicago!  This role will assist in the day-to-day accounting for one or more NewCold entities. All work will be in line with the policies and guidelines for the shared service center of NewCold. The Accounts Payable Specialist will support the project team with daily administration activities relating to accounting.

What you will be doing:

• Accurately record vendor invoices
• Create Purchase Orders and Change Orders
• Collaborating daily with the Accounting team, Manager of Shared Services, Project Managers, and Engineers
• Owning Accounts Payable between NewCold and our suppliers and sub-contractors
• Maintain records by filing invoices and payments on a timely basis
• Research and respond to inquiries at the supplier and internal level
• Assist in various ad-hoc projects

What you bring to the table:

• 5 years of accounts payable experience
• Associate degree
• Proficient in Excel and MS Suite
• NetSuite experience is highly desirable
