Job description
This role is primarily responsible for the entire accounts payable process and to support the accounting manager.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / ESSENTIAL ROLE FUNCTIONS
- Accurate and timely processing of incoming invoices
- Ensure proper coding and approval of non-PO invoices while adhering to established approval policies
- Resolve any discrepancies with invoices internally or externally
- Responsible for weekly payment runs
- Manage AP email researching/responding to inquiries from vendors in a professional and timely manner
- Monitor and follow up on un-invoiced PO receipts
- Maintain invoice analysis of monthly expenses
- Respond to vendor inquiries
- Review vendor statements and follow up on open items
- Maintain/Order office supplies
- Additional duties assigned
Knowledge / Skills / Experience / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- 2-year degree in Accounting preferred; 1+ years of experience in accounts payable
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Must be able to effectively organize and prioritize normal work activities to meet organizational needs
- Team Player with strong attention to detail
- Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
