AimHire is partnering with an internationally recognized architectural consulting firm on an exciting search for an Accounts Payable Specialist! This person will work out of their Englewood, CO office on a hybrid work schedule, and will be responsible for processing vendor invoices and expense vouchers for payment. Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Review invoices and expense reports for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Responsible for the accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of entering invoices, processing payments, tracking vendor payment history, and handling billing disputes
- Coding invoices to the proper general ledger account
- Enter invoices into the ERP system
- Print and obtain signatures on all accounts payable checks and distribute signed checks
- Maintain records, documentation, and vendor files in accordance with company policy and tax requirements
- Assist in monthly closing process
- Maintain and update vendor information
- Responsible for the maintenance and preparation of 1099 forms
- Ensure alignment and consistency within Accounts Payable across the organization
Accounts Payable Requirements:
- 6 months to a year of accounts payable experience required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Knowledge of basic principles and practices of accounting
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
