THE PURPOSE:
The Accounting Operations Manager will effectively manage the process of paying and recording invoices, expense reports and corporate credit card payments. Handle Accounts Payable aging analysis, the reconciliation of the Accounts Payable sub ledger to the General Ledger, coordinate internal customer, and vendor research, and other duties necessary to assist the Accounting Department. Assist the Director of Treasury with the operational process of treasury functions.
THE ROLE:
· Manage and develop the Accounts Payable staff, including evaluations of the performance and goals & objectives of associates
· Manage the payment process of vendor invoices, expense reports, check requests and other disbursements
· Initiation and approval of bank account transactions
· Monitor exception reporting related to disbursements
· Ensure the proper coding of payments to appropriate general ledger accounts for accurate posting, including multi-department cost allocations
· Ensure that all vendor invoices are appropriately approved prior to payment according to established company policies and procedures.
· Process timely check runs to ensure payment deadlines are met
· Communicate and ensure compliance with corporate invoice approval policy
· Communicate with other departments to ensure efficient and accurate disbursement processing
· Communicate with internal customers and outside vendors regarding invoice inquiries/discrepancies and payment status
· Maintain an updated, accurate vendor database, including W-9 forms
· Maintain an accurate Accounts Payable aging the agrees to General Ledger at the end of each month
· Close accounts payable on a monthly basis
· Support the preparation of monthly expense accruals.
· Develop and update accounts payable procedures and desk procedures as needed
· Prepare annual 1099 forms in a timely manner (NLT January 31st)
· Maintain awareness of the business process and implement changes where necessary to maximize efficiency and control.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
· BA/BS Degree
· Minimum of 5 years of Accounts Payable management experience
· Experience in an industry that produces finished goods and maintains inventory
· Experience working with ERP Accounts Payable/General Ledger systems
· Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of work
· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers of the company
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
· Experience using Full Circle.
· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
· Experience in the apparel/retail industry
