Position is full-time, in office, pay starts at $23 per hour!

Responsibilities:

• Processes and reviews vendor invoices ensuring goods and services are received prior to payment.
• Understands basic accounting and ensures proper general ledger account coding for purchases.
• Submits vendor add or change requests and ensures all proper paperwork is attached, including certificate of insurance and W9 form.
• Researches and resolves any issues identified during the invoice reconciliation process and then reconciles them accordingly.
• Assists accounting staff with month-end AP accruals.
• Regularly runs AP aging reports to ensure timely recording of payments.
• Reviews and reconciles monthly credit card and T&E statements to ensure adequate documentation supports the charges.
• Works with external auditors and provides support for annual audit.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.)
• Basic knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience with electronic payable systems.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently within a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to complete projects and assignments with minimal direction.
• Must be able to demonstrate initiative to thoughtfully research and follow up on non-standard situations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective and professional interpersonal communication across various levels of the company and with vendors.
