ACCOUNTS PAYABLE - CONSTRUCTION

Eco Minded Solutions is a San Diego premier architecture and landscape design + construction company. We need to immediately hire a Accounts Payable Accountant for the accounting team.

The position will be responsible for a range of accounting duties supporting the Company’s accounting operations and the month and year end close process. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, well organized, have a strong accounting knowledge and will be able to be flexible to a variety of roles and responsibilities including preparation of various cost analysis and assisting month-end close.

General Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all entries are coded to the correct GL and dated appropriately;

• Match accounts payable invoices to purchase orders and receivers/packing slips;

• Assist with cost tracking;
• Assist with AP invoices data entry;

• Request and maintain accounting documents and records;

• Process the release from vendors and subs,
• Assist with job cost analysis;

• Assist with audits;

• Assist with other ad-hoc requests and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum two years of progressive accounting experience working in a dynamic and high growth environment;

• Bachelor degree in accounting preferred;

• Experience working in the Construction industry is a plus;

• Proficient in the use of Builder Trend and QuickBooks;

• Strong MS Office skills including superior knowledge in Excel;

• Good planning and organization skills to balance and prioritize work;

• Strong understanding of accounting theory; working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls;

• Strong Financial Analysis background;

• Comfortable in a fast paced, results oriented and hands on environment;

• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills;

• Adheres to a high level of confidentiality and work place professionalism;

• Ethical, detail oriented, and hard-working team player;

• Positive and motivated self-starter;

• Dependable, punctual and reliable.

• COI: 2 years (Preferred)
• Microsoft Excel: 3 years (Required)
