Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

Reports to: Club Controller

Discovery Land Company is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk located in Westhampton Beach, NY. This position is an essential member of the Accounting team and is responsible for but not limited to all aspects of accounts payable processing and accountability. Dune Deck Beach Club is primarily a seasonal club operating from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend.

Key Responsibilities

• Set-up new vendors in Jonas
• Matching invoices with PO and commitments
• Process invoices through Jonas
• Secure W-9’s for vendors
• Resolve payment discrepancies
• Assist Club Controller with compiling and coding invoices
• Maintain accounts payable vendor files
• Maintain subcontractor compliances in Jonas, i.e. lien waivers, insurances, contractor licenses, business licenses, etc.
• Assist with annual audits for general liability and workers compensation
• Reconcile monthly vendor statements
• Process annual filing of 1099’s
• Year-end close procedures for AP, i.e. 1099’s, etc.

Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge and recent use of Jonas software (preferred)
• Knowledge of general accounting procedures
• Proficient in data entry and time management
• 2+ years of accounts payable and general accounting experience (preferred)
