JOB SUMMARY:
Manager of the Corporate Accounting team, including consolidation of actual, forecast, and plan financial results, as well as consolidated external financial reporting to the SEC and investors, internal financial reporting to executive management, and technical accounting research. Responsible for the Corporate balance sheet and P&L, including preparation and review of actual, forecast, and plan financial results.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
(other duties as assigned):
  • Supervise the monthly, quarterly and annual closing and consolidation of the Corporate financial statements. Review tasks and various journal entries of staff accountants.
  • Responsible for the preparation and review of our external filings with the SEC, including XBRL. Supervise the preparation of the various internal financial reports, utilized by the Board of Directors, Investor Relations, and management.
  • Supervise the monthly forecast process for the corporate departments and complete the monthly consolidated forecast for all divisions, including the monthly report on variances in the forecast compared to plan, prior year and the prior forecast. Coordinates the Corporate annual operating plan process and consolidation of the company-wide annual operating plan.
  • Responsible for SEC and U.S. GAAP accounting research, including documentation and implementation of applicable ASC and SEC pronouncements.
  • Special projects which may include, identifying and implementing process improvements which drive efficiencies, technical research, and ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Responsible for setting, monitoring and enforcing corporate accounting policies.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.

SCOPE & IMPACT: The Manager of Financial Reporting supervises all consolidated financial reporting for the company, requiring strong technical accounting knowledge due to the number and complexity of intercompany relationships, eliminations, and complex financial transactions. This role is responsible for overseeing the close process related to the Corporate balance sheet and P&L. In addition, this role leads all SEC compliance and reporting for the company, which is a required skill set for this role.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with 6-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of supervisory/leadership experience or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Must be detail oriented with strong financial analysis skills.
  • Able to communicate financial concepts to non-accounting partners in a clear manner.
  • Knowledge of design and execution of internal controls to provide comfort with financial disclosures and reporting risks.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • C.P.A

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: up to 5 direct and indirect reports
