Accounting Manager/Controller

Serenity is looking for an Accounting Manager or Controller DOE. This role will report directly to the CEO and will be considered a key member of the Serenity Management Team. If you have 2 years of public accounting with experience in building protocols for start-up companies this could be a position for you.
What You will Do:
- Own the strategy, process and execution of the company’s financial operations, including Billing, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and Payroll
- Evaluate current financial operations and seek out areas of improvement and greater productivity in financial processes
- Prepare internal and external financial statements and create transparency in financial operations across the organization
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including taxes for Arizona, Colorado, New Hampshire, Nevada, Texas and Utah
- Regularly conduct audits and access business performance of Serenity
- Create clear budgetary processes for numerous behavioral health clinics
- Provide clear financial analysis to the Executive team and assist in financial planning
What We Need from You:
- Masters Degree in Accounting
- 2 -4 years of experience as an accountant or finance professional with at least 2 year in public accounting or audit role
- Willingness to thoroughly understand business processes to create strategic financial insights
- Active CPA license preferred
- Understanding of tax codes and laws a plus
- Demonstrated history creating consistent, clear financial reports and effectively communicating financial needs to Executive team
- Experience building and enforcing financial controls and adhering to corporate governance policies
- Proficiency with QuickBooks or other accounting software
