Robert Half is seeking a talented Accounting Manager to work with a thriving company. Some general duties include leading daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable. This position is for candidates with the ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations. This Accounting Manager role is a permanent employment opportunity, based in the Blair, Nebraska area.

Description

• Drive and manage the full accounting team performance of the close process to meet close deadlines
• Assist in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, which includes designing systems and processes, migrating data, testing, training, and administrating
• Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics, including monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
• Prepare various technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
• Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
• Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
• 3-5+ years of recent relevant financial experience
• CPA/MBA preferred
• Deep understanding of sales and use tax
• General familiarity with Annual Physical Inventory
• Previous experience working with Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Well-founded grasp of Annual Inventory
• Wide ranging experience with asset management
• Personal Property Tax experience
• Fixed assets experience highly desired
• Skills in Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A)
• Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
