Accounting Manager

Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager will assist CFO in managing the long-term financial success of the Company and the maintenance of monthly/quarterly/annual compliance. The Accounting Manager will also be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the accounting department.
Management Responsibilities:
- Manages the accounting functions including financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and accounts payable.
- Involved in recruiting and hiring accounting and financial staff.
- Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
- Prepares business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
- Produces periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply financial reporting standards.
- Are responsible for job costing analysis.
- Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts, risks, etc.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in utilizing QuickBooks preferred.
- High proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
- Five years or more of related experience required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
