Position Title: Accounting Manager

Department: Finance

Location: Memphis, TN (preferred); Mason, OH; Greeley, CO

Reports to: Operations Controller

Principle Responsibilities:

• Month-end ledger closing process
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Data accumulation/analysis of balance sheet and P/L accounts
• Daily, weekly and monthly account analysis to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Assist with budget to actual variance analysis
• Build and Analyze periodic financial and operational reports
• Production accounting, inventory management and expense reporting
• Lead month-end close process for Case Ready business units
• Effectively supervises assigned personnel, ensuring optimal performance
• Provides leadership through effective goal setting, delegation, and communication
• Gives measurable feedback to Accounting personnel and suggestions for improved performances
• Establishes and maintains business relations with vendors and other business units
• Keeps management informed of area activities and of progress towards established goals
• Interfaces with production and sales personnel to ensure that their information needs are being met and that Accounting procedures are accurate and consistent with organizational objectives
• Travel (25% +)
• Other duties assigned

Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with various levels of management
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills is a must
• Previous management experience preferred
• Experience in SAP and other ERP Costing Systems is a plus
• Analytical skills and strong attention to detail
• Must be a perfectionist by nature, with no tolerance for financial sloppiness
• Must have excellent work habits, including: willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done (month-end deadlines)
• BS in Accounting or Finance, with at least 5-7 years Accounting experience preferred
