Contracts Billing/Accounting Associate
JOB PURPOSE: The Contracts Billing/Accounting Clerk reports to the Contracts and Accounting Department; supports the Contracts and Accounting teams with day-to-day functions to help ensure the successful administration of contracts and fiduciary operation of the company.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform accounts receivable and support general accounting functions and projects as needed.
- Create high dollar value Time and Material, Fixed Price, Percentage of Completion, and AIA Invoices for each client contract
- Assist with contracts operations by following policies and procedures.
- Draft and revise proposal overviews, assist with preparation of business/cost proposals.
- Assist with the drafting, edits and final review of different contractual documents.
- Support the development of contract specific subcontract specifications/terms and condition with Contract Administrator direction.
- Assist with keeping the company in compliance with different state agencies though a variety of filings and annual renewal.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
- Background in general accounting principles
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill proficiency with financial and administrative systems
- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork, answering phones, managing email in-boxes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, with clear and concise English
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality; high level of integrity and discretion
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proactive and positive attitude with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to multi- task.
Preferred
- Two (2) years’ experience with accounts receivable, issuing high dollar value Time and Material, Fixed Price, Percentage of Completion, and AIA Invoices
- Experience with cost accounting
- Knowledge of StarBuilder and/or Crystal Reports is a plus but able to be learned.
- Experience performing the primary duties and responsibilities of this role is a plus
