Responsibilities:

• The Accounting Associate will be leading and performing the duties necessary to ensure accurate and timely processing of all monthly close and reviews. Main duties may include processing A/P, expense report and credit card transactions and coding to General Ledger; Maintain effective relationships with business partners/vendors through timely and accurate payment, be proactive to respond to inquiries and drive resolutions
• Prepare, review and analyze general ledger accounts payable account reconciliations, journal entries and accruals
• Maintain and organize AP records (digital or physical copies) in accordance with company guidelines
• Review and monitor trends in spending or aging while escalating priority issues timely
• Consolidate information required for annual Sunshine Act reporting
• Ensure compliance with internal controls in relation to the Accounts Payable and Cash Disbursement functions
• Assist with month-end close and audit schedules as needed
• Responsible for the preparation of annual 1099 reporting and timely distribution
• Prepare and file for use tax reports to the CA State
• Assist with ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 years of experience in Accounting/Finance, with excellent intellectual curiosity and desire to improve efficiencies in everyday processes
• Detailed oriented with excellent time management skills
• Ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks, and deliver results in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• Ability to communicate effectively across different functional teams and gather/disburse relevant information
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and ability to resolve issues with positive attitude
• Excellent learning ability and desire to optimize efficiency in all processes
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
• Experience with NetSuite and Bill.com is preferred
