POSITION:

Cameron University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position as an assistant professor in accounting. The primary teaching load for this position will be twelve credit hours of accounting classes, offered in multiple formats, throughout the undergraduate and MBA curricula per semester. Cameron faculty are expected to maintain in-person office hours on campus, meet with/advise students as required; conduct research with publication; perform service to the university and department as required by policy and as directed; maintain a collegial atmosphere within the school; participate in assigned committee activities; and maintain active contact with professional organizations. This position is available for a Fall 2023 start date.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Doctorate in Accounting or Business Administration with Accounting concentration from an accredited college or school of business.
  • Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to produce quality teaching both online and in-person.
  • ABD candidates with documented progress toward degree completion may be considered.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preference will be given to candidates who hold a CPA.
  • Preferred candidates will have experience teaching lower and upper division undergraduate accounting classes and/or experience teaching graduate level accounting/MBA classes.

SALARY RANGE:

Commensurate with education and experience.
