About the Position:
The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and an understanding of basic accounting principles. They will need to be proficient with computers and have advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Word programs. Sage 100 Contractor and Salesforce systems knowledge is a plus.
Accounting Assistant Duties:
· AP Vendor management
· AP input and routing through Paperless
· Purchase card receipt indexing
· Purchase card statement reconciliation
· Fleet management
· Cell phone plan management
· AR client set up
· Keep resellers certificates current for customers
· Assist with Pre-Lien process
· Assist with 31–59-day collections
· Assist with Tier lien releases
· Assist all areas of accounting as needed
· Handle incoming and outgoing mail
· Manage office equipment
· Supply ordering
· Coffee Vendor Management
Education:
At a minimum we require an Associate’s degree in accounting or similar field. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience can be substituted. Two to three years of relevant hands-on accounting experience preferred.
Experience/Skills:
· Knowledge and understanding of Accounts Payable
· Knowledge and understanding of Accounts Receivable
· Understanding of basic accounting principles
· Proficient with advanced Excel knowledge
· Proficient with advanced Word knowledge
· Salesforce system knowledge (preferred)
· Sage 100 Contractor system knowledge (preferred)
· Confidentiality with all data and information
· Organizational and time management skills
· Attention to detail proficiency
· Positive interpersonal and communication skills
Physical Requirements:
· Under 1/3 of the time: Climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling, or lifting no more than 50 lbs.
· 1/3 to 2/3 of the time: Standing, walking, sitting, and reaching with hands and arms, lifting no more than 25 lbs.
· Over 2/3 of the time: Using hands and fingers, handling objects, feeling (touch), talking, and listening (hearing), lifting no more than 10 lbs.
Vision Requirements: Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and can adjust and focus
