JOB DESCRIPTION:
The cost analyst provides support for the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions of the plant / manufacturing unit. Contributions to cost savings projects, budget planning, and reporting performance indicators are key.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures accuracy of cost of production calculations.
Analyzes and reports production metrics through daily, weekly, and monthly manufacturing variance to standards.
Provides credible, accurate, thorough, and in-depth financial analysis to support plant operations.
Supports other finance functionality including asset inventory control, lean manufacturing, and spending audit.
Develops accurate and detailed cost estimates for diverse marketing initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associates or Bachelor’s degree required / in progress preferably in accounting, business, or related field.
Experience: Manufacturing experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
