Job description
SWBC is seeking a talented individual to be responsible for assisting with budget analysis, year-end audit requests, FINRA regulatory filings, special projects and research, and reviewing and processing payroll.

Essential duties include the following:
  • Prepares and reviews monthly journal entries and general ledger reconciliations. Researches and assists implementation of new accounting pronouncements.
  • Assists with budget preparation and analysis, year-end SEC audit requests, return on capital calculation, FINRA regulatory filings (i.e., haircut and SIPC calculations), and special projects and research.
  • Prepares and reviews payroll commission transactions and processes payroll.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited four-year college or university required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping including electronic interfaces to other system to include vendor and financial institutions, or related experience preferred. Experience/knowledge with Investment Services firm a plus.
  • Active CPA License or currently studying/sitting for the CPA exam.
  • General knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Working knowledge of enterprise accounting systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to details, and be able to multitask.
  • Skills in utilizing computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to maintain and convey confidential information.
  • Able to sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities.
