Job Summary: Responsible for assisting the Chief Financial Officer, Controller, and Senior Accountant in the daily accounting operations and activities of the Bank and department, as well as, managing and directing employees.
Education/Experience: A minimum of the following education/experience is required:
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting, finance, or business-related field; and 2-5 years accounting or finance experience; OR
- Associate’s degree with a major in accounting, finance, or business-related field; and 4-7 years accounting or finance experience
- CPA designation or CPA eligible preferred
Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Processes daily / monthly / quarterly / annual accounting activities.
- Provides backup to integral accounting functions.
- Assists in the preparation and review of Bank and Holding Company regulatory reporting while maintaining an awareness of changes in regulations.
- Prepares and reviews reconciliations of DDA accounts and general ledger accounts.
- Cross trains in accounting department functions.
- Prepares reports as required by management.
- Assists in preparation of annual financial statements for consolidated company including Covenant Title, FirstBank Southwest and FirstPerryton Bancorp.
- Assists with preparing and monitoring budgets.
- Aids in watching and tracking the daily checklist.
- Analyzes asset, liability, and capital accounts.
- Contributes to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
- Assists in documentation and monitoring of internal controls.
- Provides documentation and support to auditors and examiners.
- Completes other duties as assigned
Required Technical Knowledge:
- General computer skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of GAAP

- Handle high stress environment
