Liu CPA in Plymouth, MN is in pursuit of a new accountant! We are looking for an organized and thoughtful individual with an attention to detail. During the tax season, you will be dealing with customers face-to-face to learn more about each of their unique tax situations and ask the questions necessary to complete each return with the utmost care and accuracy. You will at the very least end up learning the Jackson Hewitt Tax software for tax preparation purposes. Most of your time will be spent preparing income tax returns for individuals, but you may assist on many other tasks depending on your prior work experience. We will guide you on the path to getting certified and receive your own PTIN if you do not have one.

Outside of tax season, you will be doing a variety of accounting tasks. Which tasks you end up working on will depend on your prior work experience and your skillset.

Works hours are very flexible throughout the year but expect to work on a more rigid schedule during the tax season as is the case with most tax preparation services.

What we are looking for in an Accountant:

-2+ years of previous tax preparation/accounting experience

-Motivated to take on every task put in front of them.

-Strong communication skills, whether it be face-to-face, on the phone or via email.

-Adequate analysis skills to understand the inner workings of every tax return.

-Being multilingual in a country as diverse as the United States is always a plus.

-Works well under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $28.00 per hour
