Bloomer Trailer Mfg., Inc. is the leading Manufacturer of custom horse trailers in the United States. We are hiring an experienced Accountant to join our team. The Accountant should possess excellent organizational skills, be highly motivated, professional and must be able to work in a fast-paced office and manufacturing environment.

The Accountant is responsible for managing daily accounting tasks such as recording and maintaining accurate financial information. The Accountant will work to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances. Daily work will largely consist of updating accounts receivable and accounts payable, reconciliations, posting and processing journal entries. The Accountant should be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and possess a high attention to detail

Duties and Responsibilities of the Accountant:

• Update accounts receivable including payment application
• Update accounts payable by completing payments and controlling expenses by reconciling invoices
• Charge expenses to accounts and departments by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries
• Post and process journal entries
• Assist in reviewing expenses and revenue as assigned
• Timely input of financial data in databases to ensure accurate information is available when needed
• Prepare statements, payments, and deposits
• Prepare reports as needed
• Assist with closing financial periods
• Assist with financial reconciliations as needed
• Protects organizations value by keeping information confidential
• Assist with accounting projects as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications of the Accountant:

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Accounting preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Extensive QuickBooks Desktop knowledge required
• Previous accounting experience required
• Attention to detail
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organization, time management skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good analytical judgement and works well with numbers and figures
• Understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Ability to adapt to change
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software

Working conditions/Physical Requirements of the Accountant:

This position operates mainly in an office environment however may be exposed to multiple work environments, including manufacturing plant environment and laboratory environment. Team members will be required to adhere to all safety requirements in all work environments.

In the plant environment, the team member may be exposed to noise, heat, and other elements both inside and outside, exposed to moving, mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise levels, internal and external temperature/weather conditions, and will be exposed to chemicals.

Specific physical requirements of the Accountant include:

• Climbing flights of stairs
• Occasionally bending, twisting, and turning
• Sitting for extended periods of time
