Position Title: Accountant

Industry: Broadcast Media

Location: Teaneck, NJ – Hybrid!!

Pay: $27/hr. - $34/hr.

A large media company is urgently hiring within their accounting team for a recent accounting or finance graduate looking to take the next step in their career as an Accountant. The accounting professional will be responsible for posting journal entries, working with prepaid & accruals, assisting with the month/year end close and analyzing/sorting through large data sets using MS Excel.

Ideal candidates must have a bachelor’s in accounting or finance, strong excel skills and have a minimum of two years experience within the accounting field. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional to join a leading organization and expand on their current skills.

This position offers 2 work from home days, candidates must be commutable to their office in Teaneck, NJ!

Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare journal entries to include payroll, amortization, depreciation, allocations, nontrade accruals, line-of-credit, banking, and others as needed.
• Account Reconciliation for accounting periods closed with no material errors and in line with established timelines
• Contribute to department and organization's special projects as assigned including but not limited to the understanding of the month end Inventory closing process
• Review and analyze the outstanding check list for outdated and stale checks. Follow-up with clearing them by contacting the vendor, supplier and or individual for accuracy
