We are searching for an Account Manager who is good at communicating and is proactive and passionate about the products and services he/she would provide our customers. You will serve as the primary point of contact and build long-lasting relationships with our customers while continually working to identify the products, equipment, and services that best meet each customer's particular needs. To succeed in this position, you should have exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, be resourceful, flexible, and organized, and can build rapport with our customers.

Objectives

  • Establish and build strong working relationships with customers
  • Manage day-to-day customer communication and ongoing relationships
  • Serve as the main point of contact in most matters related to customer's concerns and needs
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our products and services to upsell and cross-sell to customers

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules to ensure all customers are serviced
  • Ensure warehouse inventory stock matches delivery requirements
  • Make weekly product lists for our Warehouse Manager in North Liberty to bring to the Des Moines warehouse
  • Review daily route and route cards to prepare for the day
  • Load and unload products onto company vehicle in all environmental conditions
  • Transport and deliver products to customers in a safe and timely manner
  • Interact with customers during service and review deliveries and service done to ensure their needs are met
  • Collect signature and/or payment(s) at delivery and service (when necessary)
  • Maintain ongoing communication with coworkers via the company Workplace App
  • Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle complaints to the best of your ability
  • Perform daily vehicle maintenance (keep vehicle fueled up, ready to travel, clean, and organized)
  • Rotate being on-call with our other Des Moines Account Manager

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Must be insurable to drive a company vehicle
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull weights of 50 to 100 lbs.
  • Must pass a background check and physical
  • Must be adaptable, dependable, and hard-working
  • Ability to work and drive in all weather conditions

Other Notes

  • We do not provide insurance
  • Hours are somewhat flexible
  • Some weekends may be required if on call
  • No overnights
  • Routes are pre-established
  • The routes are in Des Moines and surrounding areas such as: Grinnell, Ottumwa, Creston, Guthrie Center, Ankeny, Altoona, and Oskaloosa

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
