Job Summary:

The primary function of the Account Manager position will be to maintain and expand the Company’s business base by maximizing the profitability of assigned customer accounts and also help the company grow by soliciting new business! The Account Manager will use their sales expertise and technical knowledge about the water treatment industry to recommend and apply basic water treatment applications and solutions, as well as communicate program results to WWT’s regional managers and customers.

Job Duties:

· Manage existing customer base and grow territory with the help of the WWT leadership team

· Deliver value to customer base by conducting routine service and business reviews, as clear and consistent communication with customers is a key component of WWT’s culture

· Project professional image of WWT through a positive and helpful attitude at all times

· Check, clean and adjust equipment; document findings and analysis of conditions in detailed reports

· Maintain professional and technical knowledge in order to provide sound water treatment recommendations to customers

· Be a team player and mentor to the WWT team, providing consistent support and training for service technicians, as this is an important part of WWT’s culture

· Continuously strive for professional improvement by taking advantage of WWT’s continuous online trainings and mentorship opportunities

· Local travel is expected and ongoing, including approximately 2% of travel outside of assigned region

· Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

· 4+ years of experience in technical sales/service

· Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience

· Working knowledge of water-cooled air conditioning/cooling tower systems, steam generation, and chilled/hot/process water closed-loop systems

· Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and ability to learn internal business systems

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Mechanical/technical aptitude

· Ability to understand and learn technical properties and functionality of product portfolio

· Ability to work independently and without supervision; effectively plan, organize and execute activities

· Hold valid driver’s license and abide by company standards for operating motor vehicle

· Be able to physically provide service at customer facilities within a wide range of environments

· OSHA 10 certification

· Must attend WWT’s safety training on an annual basis

Preferred Qualifications:

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Ability to work well as part of a team and exhibit leadership skills

· Advanced problem-solving skills

· 4-yr degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

· Possess a current Certified Water Technologist (CWT) certificate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
