Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Disability Services Director, the Access Specialist plans and facilitates the implementation of appropriate accommodations, auxiliary aids and support services for students with disabilities.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a social services field or other area related to the needs of the position, and a minimum of one year full-time equivalent experience providing case management and working with individuals with disabilities is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Specific knowledge regarding working with individuals with medical conditions or disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, traumatic brain injury and/or individuals on the autism spectrum.
• Knowledge of, and ability to use, Assistive Technologies
• Ability to train others in the use of Assistive Technologies
• Excellent English language skills
• Proficiency using personal computer, including Microsoft Windows and Office applications
• Effective written, verbal and presentation skills
• Ability to operate standard office equipment including phone, fax, copier
