Job description
Work Type: FULL TIME
Work Schedule: NIGHTS
Location: CAPE FEAR VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER
Position Summary:
Ensures optimum patient flow through the office; accurate and prompt entry submission of charges; initiation of new patient medical records; accurate, efficient scheduling of patient visits and timely submission of reports.
Minimum of 1-2 years clerical experience necessary. Medical business office or significant public contact preferred; PC skills required. Tact and ability to deal with patients under stress is required. Good planning and organizational abilities; speaking and hearing necessary to converse with the public; office equipment skills necessary.
Required Education, Licenses, and Certifications:
- High School Diploma or GED

Other Information:
Must be able to see and read printed data and computer screens; manual dexterity; visual and auditory acuity to collect information; verbal communication skills; ability to lift, stoop, bend, kneel, reach and sit for extended periods of time.
