Keon Testing Center
The Thomas L. Keon Testing Center is a fully secured testing facility that provides assessment flexibility and convenience to business students and their professors.
The Opportunity:
Responsible for daily (daytime) operations associated with the Thomas L. Keon Testing Center (KTC) and Finance Trading Lab (FTL); including management of staff, academic integrity documentation, assisting with budgeting, exam troubleshooting, technology troubleshooting, and other relevant testing/operational needs. In addition, responsible for the physical facilities of the KTC space located in Business Administration 2, Rooms 103, 104, 105, and FTL located in Business Administration 1, Room 148A; but not limited to the general operational oversight and equipment maintenance during shift.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate a large staff, in a high volume, fast-paced testing center including: Hiring, training, mentoring/coaching, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating OPS student and non-student employees who assist with the administration of academic and professional certifications in the KTC and FTL with limited direct supervision.
  • Responsible for all operational components of KTC and FTL during daytime hours including; general troubleshooting of exams and Bloomberg terminals and overseeing customer service and relationship management between students, faculty, staff, and the general population. Communicates directly with students, faculty, and staff to resolve any operational service issues and plans for the needs of students and faculty for all testing.
  • Oversees the implementation of effective and efficient testing procedures and systems.
  • Use software (NetSupport, Milestone) to monitor and collect evidence of academic integrity incidents. Perform basic IT troubleshooting to diagnose issues and report proper issues to UCF IT for resolution.
  • Provides administrative support including planning, evaluation, assessment, etc. of exams implemented by faculty. Coordinates with faculty, students, and staff for testing schedules and availability; creates and edits testing data for faculty and students.
  • Compile reports of evidence for academic integrity incidents to send to faculty and/or Student Conduct when applicable.
  • Assists in planning and implementing new policies to improve academic integrity, operations efficiency, staffing, etc.
  • Develops and implements goals and strategies.
  • Maintains inventory and prepares requests for office supplies.
  • Research and learn new technologies relating to the exam administration.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or deemed appropriate to accomplish the mission and functions of the KTC and FTL.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of UCF hire procedures, as well as UCF Human Resource procedures.
  • Moderate IT experience
  • Management experience
