Responsibilities

Reporting to the Academic Personnel Director, you will be responsible for providing administrative support
for academic personnel recruitments, faculty dossier preparation and general academic HR needs. Including, but not limited to
coordination and tracking of all new applications, scheduling interviews, creating in person interview itineraries, generating Qualtrics
post interview surveys, and providing coverage for campus onsite visits. You wiil also be responsible for coordination of all travel and associated reservations for Faculty recruitments and requests, track and reconcile purchase orders for faculty recruitment on Scholarly Journals.

As our Academic Personnel Specialist, you will select components of dossier preparation for academic appointees for the Department of Surgery Academic Personnel Office. This will Include CV formatting, solicitation of intra- and extramural evaluation letters, composition of evaluator biostatements, compiling and entering all activity on the data summary for each faculty member up for advancement. You will communicate directly with faculty members and other relevant departmental personnel regarding teaching activity, research, extramural funding, and professional activity. You will also serve as primary academic HR contact for department’s academic recruitment entries within UC Recruit database.

  • This is a hybrid/flexwork position.

Salary range: $22.03-$43.65 Annual

Qualifications

  • Experience working in an administration or human resources office supporting high level personnel.
  • Demonstrated self-initiated and skill in organizing and prioritizing a multitude of projects with competing deadlines and managing details with accuracy and efficiency under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times, and to represent the Department and Chairman’s Office in a professional and courteous manner. All Required
  • Strong writing skills to compose clear, concise, and grammatically correct correspondence, reports, and training materials.
  • Strong oral communication skills to effectively relay information and policies and procedures and to persuade others to follow a specific directive given to them. All Required
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff and faculty.
  • Ability to apply active listening skills in situations where individuals are seeking advice or guidance.
  • Demonstrated skill in operating a personal computer using Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
