Job Summary
Transformative Learning (TL) is the University of Kentucky’s centralized learning center. TL provides academic preparation programming and academic support services for undergraduate students in all colleges to help them master the skills needed to become successful lifelong learners. TL houses five academic support programs including: The Peer Tutoring Program at The Study, Academic Preparation and Placement (APP), Integrated Success Coaching, Supplemental Instruction and UK101/201. TL strives to achieve the goal of enhancing the academic experience of students at UK by working closely with campus partners to develop student-responsive programs that best serve the entire campus community.
TL is currently seeking an Academic Coordinator to provide leadership for the Presentation U Speaking & Writing Center. Under the direction of the Associate Director for Transformative Learning, the Academic Coordinator will work to implement best practices in academic supports, foster a collaborative learning environment, and engage in strategic planning in order to grow and develop the peer tutoring. This position requires excellent interpersonal communication skills, a high degree of attention to detail, and exceptional critical thinking skills. The primary responsibilities of the Academic Coordinator include:

The primary responsibilities of the Academic Coordinator include:
- Providing leadership and programmatic support for the growth and development of the multimodal tutoring program including program assessment.
- Direct supervision of peer tutors and/or student program coordinators including hiring, training, scheduling, observations, and performance evaluations.
- Fostering campus partnerships and facilitation of campus-wide workshops
- On-site supervision for peer tutoring operations at Presentation U
- Serve as an Integrated Success Coach supporting targeted populations
