The Production, MRO, and Field Support Manager is a high visibility role which is responsible for resolving systems level issues that come up at our Production & MRO facilities as well as at airline operators. The position reports the Chief Systems Engineer of the 30K program, and interfaces with the SIPT, MIPT, and IPMT. This is an external customer facing role that is expected to discuss technical topics with airlines in conjunction with Customer Technical Support and Customer Support.

As the PM&FS manager the responsibilities include identifying issues in performance trends and driving resolution to them quickly. This role works closely with the Program Chief Engineer and Chief Systems Engineer to resolve service disruptions in the fleet and resolve AOG situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management position leading the Production, MRO, & Field Support Systems Analysis team – manages and develops people
  • Accountable and responsible for work product from group
  • Interfaces with airlines customers to resolve field issues
  • Responsible for performance trends at Production, MRO, and in the field
  • Commits to work scope, program deliverables, budget, and schedule
  • Own Systems Analysis Production & Field Support tasks and risk mitigation plans
  • Monitor, facilitate and communicate resolution of Production & Fleet issues
  • Provide system level event analysis for in service issues
  • Create analytics for program specific issues, coordinate with DPHM/EHM team
  • Manage/resolve vibration, performance, and operability issues
  • Manage/Track MRO readiness - responsibility of managing outsourcing SOWs and budget
  • Mentors P&FS and Systems engineers

Basic Qualifications:

  • University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years’ prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience
  • Expert or mastery level knowledge of work area, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience
  • May have deep knowledge of project management. Advanced knowledge of related disciplines within work area and ability to identify links and potential impact on projects, programs, or systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Systems Engineering
  • Gas turbines with broad experience in the sub-disciplines of performance, operability, engine vibration, and Software
  • Systems integration, aero thermal or mechanical design disciplines
  • Proven track record in delivering results within a cross-functional team environment
