Salary: $25-34/hr ( Negotiable)
Summary:
Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe and electrical systems under the direction of the Maintenance Manager. This job description may be modified periodically as the duties and responsibilities may change with the growth of business.
Duties and responsibilities:
Follow all company and equipment operation safety procedures
Visually inspects and tests machinery, cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery and equipment and follow preventative maintenance procedures
Utilizing information from supervisors, machine operators, and other maintenance team members, investigates, diagnoses, and repairs machine operation variations and malfunctioning machinery
Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts
Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment
Lay out, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, repairs
Replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment
Installs, programs or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers
Sets up and operates machine tools such as a lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures and tools
Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment
Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures
Enters daily labor record on timecard
Other duties may be assigned based on business requirements and applicable skills and abilities
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability required.
High school diploma/GED/two-year technical degree or certification or
Four years experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Proficient in shop math with ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals and use a calculator.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Ability to logically solve technical problems with minimal supervision
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, climb, or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour
