ROLE SUMMARY:
Our University Career Tracks are crafted to fast-track the careers of future leaders, allowing recent graduates to gain exposure to a variety of roles and challenges in our Brewery operations. We believe in learning by doing. In the Brewery Trainee Career Track, you can experience a robust induction to learn all facets of our Supply organization and critical leadership skills before jumping straight into a front-line managerial position. Continued classroom, virtual, and on-the-job learning are just a fraction of the exposure you will gain during your first year as a Brewery Trainee as you prepare to make a real impact in role.

After graduation from the Career Track, Brewery Trainees will be placed in one of our 12 Brewery facilities as a Production Process Manager. Our Production Process Managers are a member of the plant leadership team and play a key role in the day-to-day production operations for an assigned area and shift. Your Day to Day Job Responsibilities:

As a front-line manager, you will be leading diverse teams where you will identify ways to drive performance through teamwork, empowerment and leadership while maintaining harmonious relationships in our union environment.

Safety is a top priority. Brewery Trainees will need to ensure the safety of self and others on the production floor is compliant with all AB policies and OSHA Regulations while complying with all food safety policies including GMP, HACCP and BRC. Brewery Trainees will consistently perform audits around such topics on a shift-by-shift basis.

Our front-line managers and their teams are the keepers of quality. Brewery Trainees are responsible for upholding quality standards for all products and reacting to instances of nonconforming products.

Problem-solving both personnel and process-related issues are key for individual and brewery success! You will be reliant on your team for understanding the process. Relationship building is a key factor in your success in this role.

Through training, Brewery Trainees learn to detect systematic issues through visual or oral methods from machines or equipment and discuss the operations with maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines. Machines include pumps, motors, heat exchangers, and other various packaging equipment used in the beer making process.

You will be expected to utilize data analysis and other lean manufacturing methods used for process improvement to enhance product/process efficiency.

Provide ongoing training, coaching, discipline, and development to employees. Brewery Trainees will need to be able to have tough conversations with a diverse group of people.

Leadership of work area that includes being able to speak to performance with senior leadership.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
-
Current university student or recent university graduate – Bachelor’s Degree with a GPA of 2.8 or greater.

A background in Engineering, Science, or Environmental/Safety may help but all majors are accepted.

Geographical & Functional mobility – open to experiencing different functions and locations across the U.S.

Our breweries are 24/7 - 363 day a year facilities which requires alternating shift work for trainees who enter the program. Must have flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends, holidays, & overtime.

Must have the ability to walk up and down elevated catwalks and stairs, stand for long periods of time, and work in all environmental conditions including extreme temperatures.

Ability to leverage data and insights to provide effective solutions to complex problems.

Can demonstrate leadership capabilities in previous work experience and/or extracurricular activities.

Self-motivated to drive results and deliver above and beyond expectations.
